Coin Strike

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Coin Strike is one of those games I downloaded expecting to delete in five minutes, and then looked up an hour later. The idea is simple: you flick a coin across a wooden board and try to land it in marked zones or knock other pieces off the edge. The physics feel weighty in a good way — you can almost sense the friction under each slide.

Controls are pure touch. You pull back with one finger to set power and angle, then let go. The genius is in how readable it all is; the aiming line and a subtle rumble tell you exactly how hard the shot will land. Later stages add moving targets and tilting boards, which turns a casual flick into a little puzzle about angles and rebounds.

What won me over is how fair it feels. Every miss was clearly my fault, never the game's, and that kept me hitting retry. Sessions are short enough for a bus ride but satisfying enough that I kept coming back on the couch. The art is clean and warm, and the sound of a coin settling into place is weirdly perfect.
